With a massive 757,000-square-foot logistics acquisition, INDUS expands Houston footprint

The five-building Class A logistics park in North Houston is nearly fully occupied, giving INDUS a foothold in one of the US’s major industrial and distribution markets.

INDUS Realty Trust, according to the latest reports, has now completed the acquisition of a 757,000-square-foot Class A logistics park in Houston, Texas, marking the company’s entry into the Houston industrial real estate market. The portfolio comprises five buildings in the North Houston submarket and was 99% occupied at the time of the acquisition. Its tenant base includes businesses serving local consumers as well as companies operating across the industrial and manufacturing sectors.

The transaction has added another sizeable logistics asset to INDUS’ expanding US industrial property portfolio, as demand for strategically located warehouse and distribution space continues to shape the commercial real estate sector.

Location is a central feature.

Location is a central feature of the newly acquired logistics portfolio. The properties sit close to major transportation infrastructure, including Interstate 45, Beltway 8 and George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The connectivity gives occupiers access to important road and air freight routes across the Houston metropolitan area.

The buildings also offer a range of unit sizes, from approximately 8,000 square feet to 245,000 square feet, allowing the park to accommodate businesses with different space requirements. North Houston has developed into an important industrial and logistics corridor, supported by its transport links and proximity to a broad base of commercial and manufacturing activity.

Houston demand supports logistics growth.

INDUS pointed to several factors behind its decision to enter the Houston market, including population growth, manufacturing investment and activity connected to the Port of Houston.

Houston’s position as a major US transportation and industrial centre has helped sustain demand for warehouses and distribution facilities. For logistics operators and manufacturers, proximity to highways, airports and port infrastructure can play a significant role in supply-chain planning and operating costs.

The acquisition therefore reflects a wider trend in industrial real estate, where well-connected logistics properties continue to attract attention from property owners and investors.

As of August 2026, the company said it owned or had majority ownership in properties totalling 16.4 million square feet. Its recent activity has included acquisitions in markets such as Phoenix, Atlanta and other growing logistics hubs. The Houston acquisition adds another major market to that footprint, while highlighting the continued importance of logistics real estate in the broader commercial property sector.
