ShipraNangia moves into entrepreneurship with a culture-first venture focused on integrated storytelling and branded content.
After years in the advertising and media industry, ShipraNangia has taken a new professional turn, stepping into entrepreneurship with Braided Story, a venture focused on content storytelling and culture-led solutions.
Nangia’s move marks a shift from working with a large advertising network to building an independent business around the experience she has accumulated across content and brand communication. She spent nearly six years at PublicisGroupe India, where she worked on content-led solutions and across different parts of the organization’s evolving digital and media ecosystem.
From Publicis to entrepreneurship.
Nangia’s career at Publicis included her association with the erstwhile Publicis Content team, followed by a leadership role in content solutions. Reflecting on the transition, she described the experience as an important part of her professional development, particularly in understanding how content can connect different disciplines within the advertising business.
Her move to entrepreneurship comes as brands increasingly look beyond conventional advertising formats. Digital platforms, creators, documentaries, branded films, and social-first storytelling have expanded how companies communicate with audiences. For Nangia, the next phase is centred on building an independent setup that brings these elements together.
Braided Story takes a culture-first approach.
Braided Story positions itself as a content-first creative studio focused on digital audiences and integrated storytelling. Its stated approach involves combining different creative capabilities rather than treating content formats as separate functions.
The venture has already been associated with projects spanning branded content and corporate storytelling. Its recent work includes collaborations on brand films and documentary-style projects, including a long-form film about Larsen & Toubro’s engineering and nation-building journey. Such projects reflect the changing role of branded content, where businesses increasingly use narrative formats to explain their history, people, products and broader impact.
For established advertising professionals, this shift also creates opportunities to build smaller, specialized businesses around expertise developed over years. Nangia’s transition from Publicis to Braided Story therefore reflects more than an individual career move. It also points to a broader evolution in India’s advertising and branded-content ecosystem, where culture, storytelling and digital distribution are becoming increasingly interconnected.
With Braided Story, Nangia is now taking that experience into an independent venture, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her career.
