AI-driven learning startupProLearn raises ₹30 crore amid growing focus on personalised education.
As most industries around the world get reshaped by the power of artificial intelligence (AI), the education sector is emerging as one of its most promising frontiers. This shift can be noticed with ProLearn, an AI-focused EdTechstartup that has now secured a whopping ₹30 crore in a pre-seed funding round. This has emphasised the growing investor confidence in tech-driven learning solutions. The startup founded by Vedantu technology leader Ravneet Singh is building an AI-native platform that is aimed at providing students with personalised academic support.
The funding round was backed by investors including BEENEXT, Eximius Ventures, Antler, and several angel investors, highlighting continued interest in innovative education models despite a broader slowdown in edtech investments.
Artificial intelligence’s growing role in the education sector.
The rise of AI in classrooms is changing how students learn and engage with educational content. AI-powered systems are designed to adapt to individual learning styles and pace. ProLearn’s platform is being developed as an intelligent learning companion capable of offering personalised guidance, identifying knowledge gaps, and delivering tailored recommendations based on a student’s progress. Such technology aims to make learning more interactive while helping students receive support that closely mirrors one-on-one tutoring. Education experts note that personalised learning has become a key area of focus globally, with AI increasingly being used to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.
According to the company, the newly secured capital will be used to strengthen its artificial intelligence capabilities, expand curriculum-based content, and support product development initiatives ahead of a wider rollout. The startup also plans to build its workforce by hiring talent across artificial intelligence, machine learning, product development, and growth functions. These investments are expected to help the company refine its technology and scale its offerings in a highly competitive market. In addition to serving K-12 students, the platform is expected to support learners preparing for major competitive examinations such as JEE and NEET, where personalised preparation strategies can play a significant role.
What this means for India’s EdTech sector?
The funding comes at a time when India’s EdTech industry is navigating a more cautious investment climate. ProLearn’s funding round highlights a broader trend: the growing belief that artificial intelligence could address some of education’s most persistent challenges, including scalability, accessibility, and personalised attention for students.
As AI continues to become more deeply integrated into learning environments, startups focused on intelligent tutoring and adaptive learning technologies are likely to remain an important area of interest for both investors and educators.
