Olmix gets acquired by EW Group, stepping into sustainable animal and plant nutrition

The completed acquisition strengthens EW Group’s presence in biosourced agricultural solutions while positioning Olmix for continued global growth and innovation.

EW Group has completed its acquisition of France-based Olmix Group, marking a significant development in the global animal nutrition and agricultural sector. The transaction has brought together two companies with complementary expertise, combining EW Group’s extensive life sciences portfolio with Olmix’s well-established capabilities in biosourced solutions for livestock and crop farming.

Though financial terms of the acquisition have not been made public, both companies have indicated that Olmix will continue to operate as an independent business within the EW Group structure, preserving its operational identity while benefiting from the resources of a larger international organization.

Larger focus on innovation and global expansion.

The acquisition is expected to support further investment in research and development, technological advancement and international market expansion. Maintaining Olmix as a standalone company allows it to continue developing specialized biosourced technologies while leveraging EW Group’s global reach and operational expertise.

The transaction also showcases a broader trend of consolidation within the animal nutrition and agricultural technology industries, where companies are pursuing acquisitions to broaden product portfolios, accelerate innovation and respond to evolving sustainability requirements.

A shift towards integrated, science-driven solutions.

As global agriculture faces increasing pressure to improve productivity while reducing environmental impact, mergers such as the EW Group–Olmix deal highlight the industry’s shift toward integrated, science-driven solutions. With expertise spanning animal care, plant health and biosourced technologies, the combined strengths of the two organizations are expected to contribute to ongoing advancements in sustainable farming practices and global food production

Headquartered in Bréhan, Brittany, Olmix has built a strong reputation for developing natural, biosourced products designed to improve animal health, crop performance and soil quality. Its portfolio serves livestock producers, distributors and agricultural manufacturers in numerous international markets, making it a recognized player in sustainable farming solutions.  By integrating Olmix into its broader life sciences network, EW Group expands its capabilities in animal nutrition, plant care and agricultural innovation.

Industry observers note that the acquisition aligns with the growing demand for environmentally responsible farming practices and products that reduce dependence on conventional chemical inputs.
