The Mumbai-based platform is building an AI agent called Shadow that helps fans discover live events through conversation rather than keyword search, while giving artists and promoters a single operational hub
Live entertainment is facing issues in India as people are looking for shows and events through various social media platforms and apps. Artists have to use different platforms for promoting their events and selling tickets. Miami-based thumpN started working in 2025 and recently secured funding worth $3.75 million.
Who Backed It and Why It Matters
The investment comes in a pre – seed round where artists and technology experts invested in the startup. Artists such as Arijit Singh, and Sunidhi Chauhan and other leading figures such as Vijay Shekhar Sharma and Madhur Deora has also invested in thumpN. This creates connections for thumpN in terms of respect and relationship.
The AI at the Centre of the Platform
The main product of thumpN is Shadow, an AI chatbot that helps users find all ongoing events by chatting with the users instead of using traditional ways of searching. The bot can remember previous conversations, identify user preferences and find the best matches from various sources.
What Organisers Get
For artists, venues, and promoters, thumpN offers AI-native onboarding, audience analytics, and operational tools designed specifically for live events rather than adapted from general-purpose software. The platform covers music, theatre, comedy, festivals, nightlife, sports, and community events.
The fresh capital will go toward accelerating product development and expanding the pipeline of live experiences across cities.
