A muted stock market listing reflected cautious investor sentiment despite a fully subscribed SME IPO.
A manufacturer of forged and precision-machined engineering components, Advance Technoforge recently on the BSE SME platform debuted below the initial public offering (IPO) price. The stock opened at ₹94 per share, about 1.05% lower than its issue price of ₹95 before slipping further to ₹89.30 during early trade, marking a 6% decline from the IPO price.
The listing fell short of market expectations, especially after the IPO had attracted moderate investor interest during its subscription period. The stock was also locked in its lower circuit during the session, reflecting cautious trading activity on its first day in the public market.
More on Advance Technoforge debuting below the issued IPO price.
Advance Technoforge’s fixed-price SME IPO was open for subscription from July 27 to July 29, 2026, and received an overall subscription of 1.52 times. The public issue consisted entirely of a fresh issue of approximately 25.3 lakh equity shares, priced at ₹95 each.
Following the IPO, the promoters’ shareholding reduced from 100% to nearly 72%, in line with regulatory requirements for public listings. While the issue was successfully subscribed, the stock’s listing performance indicates that investors remained cautious amid prevailing market conditions.
Use of the IPO proceeds by the company.
According to the company’s offer documents, the capital raised through the IPO will primarily be used to expand manufacturing capacity by purchasing and installing new machinery at its existing production facility.
The proceeds are also earmarked to meet working capital requirements, reduce certain outstanding borrowings, and support general corporate purposes. These investments are expected to strengthen the company’s manufacturing capabilities and improve operational efficiency over the long term.
Advance Technoforge manufactures forged and precision-engineered components for industries including automotive, oil and gas, railways, construction equipment and material handling. The company has over two decades of experience and operates an integrated manufacturing facility that combines forging, machining and finishing processes under one roof. Its customer base includes original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), with products designed for specialised industrial applications that require high precision and durability.
