NuRAN Wireless has received approval to list its common shares on the Nasdaq Capital Market as the company prepares for US market debut.
Marking a significant step in the Canadian telecommunications company’s efforts to expand its presence in the US capital markets, NuRAN Wireless has received Nasdaq approval to list its common shares. Trading is expected to begin on August 17, 2026, under the reserved ticker symbol, “NUR,” subject to completion of the remaining listing requirements.
The Quebec-based company, which focuses on providing Wireless connectivity to remote and underserved communities, announced the Nasdaq approval on August 13. The company currently trades on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the symbol NUR, as well as on US and German markets under other ticker symbols. While Nasdaq has approved its application, the listing isn’t yet unconditional. NuRAN still needs to complete certain administrative requirements, including payment of the remaining Nasdaq listing standards before trading can officially begin.
C$7.6 million financing tied to listing.
The Nasdaq decision is also connected to NuRAN Wireless’ planned C$7.6 million private placement of Series A convertible preferred shares. The financing had been made conditional on confirmation that the company’s shares had been approved for listing on Nasdaq. Following the approval, NuRAN expects to complete the financing on August 14, ahead of the anticipated Nasdaq debut.
The transaction is part of the company’s broader efforts to strengthen its financial position as it expands its telecommunications operations. Earlier details indicated that the financing structure involved both new capital and the settlement of existing obligations.
The focus remains on underserved connectivity markets.
NuRAN Wireless operates a Network-as-a-Service model focused on rural telecommunications infrastructure. Its operations include providing 2G, 3G and 4G connectivity in communities where traditional network infrastructure can be difficult to deploy economically.
The planned Nasdaq listing could give the company access to a broader pool of US investors and greater visibility within the American technology and telecommunications markets. However, the listing itself does not guarantee increased trading activity, financing opportunities or future business performance.
For now, the immediate milestones are the completion of the financing and remaining Nasdaq requirements. If those conditions are satisfied, NuRAN Wireless is expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market on August 17, adding another US-listed telecommunications company to the exchange.
