CMF has launched Clip Pro Open-Ear Earbuds with premium features at an affordable price.
CMF, the consumer technology brand backed by Nothing, has recently unveiled the Clip Pro, which is its first pair of open-ear wireless earbuds, marking the company’s entry into one of the fastest-growing categories in personal audio. Designed for users who want to stay aware of their surroundings while listening to music or taking calls, the new earbuds combine premium features with an accessible price point.
Unlike conventional earbuds that seal the ear canal, the Clip Pro uses an open-ear design, allowing ambient sound to remain audible. This makes the earbuds particularly suited for outdoor walks, commuting, cycling, and other activities where environmental awareness is important.
The product’s design focuses on comfort and everyday use.
The Clip Pro features a three-point clip mechanism supported by a flexible titanium bridge, enabling the earbuds to sit securely without placing excessive pressure on the ears. Each earbud weighs just under six grams, making them lightweight enough for extended listening sessions.
CMF says the design has been created to accommodate different ear shapes while maintaining stability during movement. The earbuds are also IP54-rated, offering protection against dust and light splashes, making them suitable for daily use and light workouts.
Premium audio features in a budget-friendly package.
Despite targeting the affordable segment, the Clip Pro includes several features commonly found in higher-end wireless earbuds. The device is equipped with a 10.8mm dual-magnet dynamic driver and supports high-resolution audio via LDAC, as well as AAC and SBC codecs. CMF has also incorporated its Ultra Bass technology to enhance low-frequency performance, addressing a common challenge associated with open-ear audio.
For voice calls, the earbuds feature a four-microphone setup with AI-powered noise reduction designed to improve call clarity, even in busy environments. A Sound Seal feature further helps minimise audio leakage, reducing the amount of sound escaping to nearby listeners. Battery performance is another highlight of the Clip Pro. The earbuds offer up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge, while the charging case extends the total listening time to approximately 32–33 hours. Fast charging support allows users to gain several hours of playback with just a short charging session.
Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.4, dual-device pairing, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair and a low-latency gaming mode. The charging case also introduces CMF’s Smart Dial control, enabling users to manage playback, calls and volume directly from the case without reaching for their smartphone.
The launch of the Clip Pro reflects the rising popularity of open-ear earbuds as consumers increasingly seek alternatives that balance comfort, safety and audio quality. Rather than isolating users from their surroundings, this category prioritises situational awareness while still delivering an immersive listening experience.
